Why We Are Here - Stourport Health Centre & Statement of Purpose

The Doctors and staff who work at this surgery have a shared purpose

To provide the best quality primary care possible, to the patients of this Practice, with the resources available.

We will use our clinical leads within the Practice to ensure we are up to date with clinical best practice. We will revew our practice against other surgeries to ensure we are offering our patients high quality care.

To offer a safe and effective service, where patients have a positive experience of care.

We will use appropriately trained staff, who are able to offer clinical services in a safe and competent manner. We will offer clinical support and learning within our team. We will share our successes, but will seek to do better when improvements are required.

To offer the same quality of service to all patients registered at this surgery, regardless of patient circumstance or characteristic.

Our services are available to all those patients registered at this Practice. Within the limitations of resources available to us, we will work to make our services as accessible as possible to all. We will work to ensure fairness and equality for our patients.

To include patients’ views and opinions, in the provision of services at this Practice.

We welcome patient input into our services. We will involve patients in decisions about their own care, during consultations with us. We will use our Patient Participation Group to represent the wider patient view on our services. We will also use surveys to understand patient opinion. We will look to incorporate patient recommendations when we can, else explain why, where we cannot.
